If you are planning a holiday, why not visit the Northern Dordogne which is located in Southwest France. The unspoilt Northern Dordogne has much to offer, lying between the Bordeaux wine growing areas to the West, the excellent fishing lakes of the Limousin to the northeast and the better known tourist areas just to the South, in this beautiful region of France.

Our Gite has been adapted to accommodate the wheelchair visitor. We have provided a hoist and shower chair so that our disabled guests can have an enjoyable holiday without worrying about personal hygiene and getting in and out of bed. the disabled guests bedroom has been carefully designed to make life as easy as possible whilst in an unfamiliar environment. The Dordogne is truly a beautiful place to visit. We are confident that we can provide a comfortable and peaceful environment for you to enjoy your holiday in Southwest France. The house sleeps nine people comfortably, one twin bedded en-suite room on the ground floor, three twin bedded rooms and one single room plus bathroom and toilet on the first floor. There is also another toilet and bathroom on the ground floor.

The front of the house faces south and therefore enjoys sun throughout the day. For those long hot days in summer there is a 12 x 6 metres (approx) swimming pool to cool off in.

There is no extra charge for electricity and heating. Bedding and towel packs are available for a cost of 8 euros.

In the village is a hotel, baker, garage, post office and bar / tabac.

Within easy distance are medieval towns and villages, chateaux, superb restaurants (some incredibly cheap). Also there are various swimming pools and recreational parks nearby where you can participate in most water sports, plus horse riding, tennis etc. If you like fishing then you are in luck because there is a large lake not far from the village where you can catch various freshwater fish including carp, pike and perch.There is a level area of bank that is suitable for wheelchairs. Fishing permits can be obtained from the tabac. Futuroscope is about a hour and-a-half drive away and is well worth a visit.
